Bobby Dodd Institute:  Empowering People. Changing Lives.

Larry Gluth joined BDI in August 2016 as president and CEO, following almost a decade of leadership as Senior Vice President US and Canada for Habitat for Humanity International (HHI).

Larry first became involved with HHI as a volunteer while he was working as an executive with Starbucks Corporation in Seattle, WA. He began by volunteering on house builds with the East King County Habitat affiliate in Remond, WA, and then served on the board for five years.

When Hurricanes Katrina and Rita struck in 2005, Larry took a yearlong sabbatical from Starbucks in order to volunteer full-time with Habitat on the Gulf Coast. He returned to Starbucks at the end of the year, and in 2007 he joined the Habitat for Humanity International staff full-time to lead operations of the U.S. and Canada area office.

During his leadership with Habitat, Larry led the organization's Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative and invested in a long-term strategy for Habitat ReStores. These actions have helped Habitat serve more families in the United States than ever before.

A graduate of the University of Utah, Larry received his alma mater's Distinguished Alumnus award in 2010. He currently serves as a Trustee for the Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership and resides in Dunwoody with his wife, Gailynn, and their son, Connor.
