About Kiwanis Club of Atlanta

Who We Are

The Kiwanis Club of Atlanta is the premier civic organization in Atlanta.  Founded in June 1918, it's one of the oldest Kiwanis Clubs in the United States and was the first Kiwanis Club established in Georgia.

The Kiwanis Club of Atlanta is an open and inclusive gathering place that connects people in a welcoming environment.

The Kiwanis Club of Atlanta gives primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than to the material, values of life.

  • We encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all relationships.
  • We seek to promote higher social, business, and professional standards.
  • We seek to develop a more knowledgeable, connected and service orientated citizenship.

Kiwanis Club of Atlanta members are both longtime and emerging leaders of the city and metro area.

  • Members include current, future, and retired leaders in the business, military, public, and nonprofit communities.
  • In a fast-paced and often fragmented world, the Club connects generations of community leaders, sometimes including family legacies.
  • The Club cultivates the next generation of leadership through  KKids, Builders Club, Key Club, and Circle K youth auxiliary clubs.

Weekly, the Kiwanis Club of Atlanta attracts prominent speakers who deliver compelling programs of civic importance and interest.

  • Speakers include CEOs, elected officials, nonprofit executives, journalists, foreign consuls, educators and  professionals.
  • Members keep current on matters of importance by hearing directly from the source.
  • Kiwanians interact with these leaders before and after the programs.

The Kiwanis Club of Atlanta offers a variety of opportunity for members to connect with and serve the community in meaningful ways

  • The Kiwanis Foundation supports numerous charities that primarily (Though not exclusively) serve children.
  • Kiwanians volunteer to help children, to serve US solders in transit, to honor valor and achievement, and to assist others in need.
  • Through all of its activities, the Kiwanis Club of Atlanta brings people together and builds bonds that benefit the individual members and the broader community.

The Kiwanis Club of Atlanta strives to maintain a quality membership based on personal leadership and achievement, to provide service to our community, and to promote good fellowship as an inspiration to good works.
