The Kiwanis Club Board of Directors voted to resume in person luncheon meetings at the Loudermilk Center beginning August 4, 2020.  The Loudermilk Center has undergone extensive transformations to ensure the safety of our members, and we will have some new requirements if you plan to attend our in person events.
This decision was not made lightly but rather in response to a large number of requests from our current members and results from surveys done on current zoom meetings.  Also we are confident that the Loudermilk Center has implemented protocols to keep all members safe including extensive training for all staff, continually sanitizing of all public spaces during the day, redefining space for social distancing, serving a plated meal service (no buffets), installing touchless fixtures in the bathrooms and incorporating live streaming capability, among others.  To read more about their protocol, click here.  An updated list of all their features, including a diagram of the seating, will be available in a few weeks for members to review.

If you want to join us for our club meeting at the Loudermilk, members will need to get used to a few new protocols including mandatory registration for the meeting, wearing masks when entering and while inside the Loudermilk Center and adhering to social distancing requirements.  Member volunteers will be trained in the  new paperless check in system as well as seating individuals at the socially distanced tables.

We understand that not everyone will be ready to join us for in person meetings, and we encourage you to continue to enjoy the meetings via zoom in a webinar format.  As we are currently doing with our Zoom meetings, registration also will be required so we can send you the meeting link.  The difference in the webinar format is that your microphone will not work, you will not have the ability to see other participants in the webinar, and you will only be able to ask questions via the chat function.

Regular and Corporate Members will have their luncheon credits for July either posted to their accounts, made as a donation to the club Foundation, or contributed back to the club, as they indicated previously.  If you would like to change how your July luncheon credits are applied, please contact Karen at KiwanisClubAtlanta@gmail.com.
